BOK’s first adventure race will be on Sunday, October 20, with a mass start at 10:00 AM. This is just a reminder that if you want to participate you will need to register before Saturday, October 19 at 9:00 AM. The registration deadline for kayak rental has already passed; so if you are a late registrant, you will need to bring your own.

If you have registered for this event, please read the event description here before coming out. There is very important information throughout this page, and there will not be time to run through all of it in the pre-race briefing (at 9:45).

We have also made a small change (improvement?) to the race procedures. Instead of only seeing your map for your initial loop before the start, I will distribute the maps for loops 1-3 to everyone before the start. This will enable you to get an overview of nearly the entire race before you start, and will help inform you better about what order of loops you want to do. Note that your initial loop will still be pre-determined as part of your registration. The park opens at 8:00 AM, and I expect to be able to distribute maps as early as 8:30.

Finally, a reminder that we are hoping to use LiveLox for this event; so if you want to compare your routes with those of other racers, be sure to download the LiveLox recorder and set up an account.
