We will have an OPEN event at Umstead Park North on Sunday October 15, 2017. Everyone is welcome, and we will have a beginners class at 12:30.

The event starts at noon and everybody must finish by 3 PM. Last starts at 2 PM.

We will have all regular courses from beginner to expert, White through Red.
White 1.9km 10 controls
Yellow 2.8km 12 controls
Orange 3.5km 11 controls
Brown 3.7km 10 controls
Green 5.6km 11 controls
Red 7.2km 14 controls

If you are bringing a group of 5 or more people please preregister for this event NO LATER THAN 5pm Friday October 13.

We have a fillable PDF entry form which you can save on your computer and print to bring with you to the event. Note: I updated the incorrect finger stick number formatting, so please use this newer copy. You can always find links to these in “BOK Information” links on the right of most BOK pages.

If you are stepping up to Orange, note that the control descriptions use images rather than words. See Control Descriptions and Map Symbols Explained for some help and an online quiz.

As always, help with control pick-up would be greatly appreciated.

Membership runs from September through August, so if you didn’t renew or join at the last meet, please do so at this one.

Take Glenwood Ave to the park entrance. Go south past the visitor center to the parking lots at the end of the road. Registration and starts will be in the large picnic shelter to the E of the parking area.
