We have an “Open” event on Sunday February 14, 2016 at Umstead South. That is the Reedy Creek Section accessible from I-40.
Everyone is welcome. Starts are from Noon to 2pm, and the course closes and controls are picked up at 3pm.
We will have courses for everyone from beginner to expert.
There will a beginners class at 12:30pm to introduce newcomers to the sport. The course covers the procedures for orienteering, as well as an introduction to the map and compass.
