Open event at Lake Crabtree County Park Nov 10, 2024

We will have an open event at Lake Crabtree County Park on November 10, 2024, (1400 Aviation Pkwy, Morrisville, NC 27560.). Registration will be at the White Oak Shelter. Look for the signage to White Oak Shelter (4405 Lake Crabtree Park) on your right just after you pass the visitor center on your left.

Registration Closed at 5pm Friday November 8.

Late Note: We forgot to mention in the original notice that advanced courses (brown, green and red) will use maps that do not show trails. With the density of trails at Lake Crabtree, this should make for a more interesting course at this level.

We had to move from the previously planned location, so sorry about the late announcement. And thanks to the staff at Lake Crabtree who helped make this happen.

This event is open to all skill levels and and we will have white through red courses. Start anytime between 11am and 1pm. Courses close at 3pm when we start picking up controls. Be sure to check in at the shelter after your course so we know everyone made it back.

Tentative courses are:

White (beginner, 2.2km 14 controls)
Yellow (2.7km 14 controls)
Orange (3.2km 13 controls)
Brown (3.3km 10 controls)
Green (4.3km 10 controls)
Red (6.9km 18 controls with map exchange)

Beginners may prepare themselves by watching the videos on our Newcomer Information Page. If you need additional instruction or have questions, please ask one of the BOK volunteers at registration.

We expect to have Livelox available to allow you to view your track and compare it to those of others.

We always appreciate help with control pickup.

Paul and Ian

  1. Is there any chance you can add me in for an Orange course. I have an annual membership.

    Thanks,
