Night-O at Bond Park, Saturday 27 August
Saturday, August 27th, 2022 we will be running a Night-O event at Bond Park in Cary. This one hour Score O will start near the Community Center’s parking lot 35.784622, -78.824880
This event is for anyone who has completed an advanced course. If you have never done a Night O before then Bond Park is a good place to learn. The controls will have reflectors on them. Bring your headlamp and have fun.
Suggested arrival time is 8:00pm to get everyone checked in and it will be a mass start. Maps will be handed out as the group gets ready to start, but you may not look at them until the clock starts. Our optimum start time is 8:15pm if all runners have arrived and it is dark enough. 8:30pm will be our latest start time, so that we have time for control pickup.
Late starts are allowed, but you will be on the clock from the mass start time.
Runners have 60 minutes to get as many points as possible. The penalty for being late is 5 points in the first minute and 1 point for each minute thereafter.
Registration is closed Register before Friday, August 26th at noon. Help with control pickup will be greatly appreciated.
I am bringing a small activity bus that will not take up parking spots. I believe I requested 12 SCORE maps. There were a couple that are running in groups. See you tomorrow night.
