We are in the final stages of working out the logistics so we can bid for the 2012 US Classic Championships.  We have about 6 new sq.km. of the Birkhead Wilderness mapped.

The logistics that we are working on currently is parking and transportation to the Start and Finish.  When that is done we can start in on the more fun details.
If you would like to participate in the early planning of the event  let me know and I will put you on the mailing list.  We will use Google Groups to communicate (or maybe Google+) and Google Docs for our documents.
We need to meet with the Forest Rangers and look for some parking areas either at a school or local fields pretty soon.  And we are evaluating some new software at this time.
So let me know if you want to be on the list and I’ll set you up in the group.  You don’t have to join the group now to help later, (we’ll need plenty of volunteers the week before and at the event) but you are welcome to lurk on the list if you want to stay current with what is going on.
