Read MoreWe had a fairly good turn out for a chilly, sunny winter day. Raven Rock is a challenging territory, for it is overgrown with brambles, very hilly and the map has not been updated for years. Despite those challenges, many brave hearts weathered the difficult terrain admirably. And even braver ones after finishing their White course, got themselves a second helping of Yellow! Quite impressive!
The following folks made this event possible and I’d like to thank them:
* Holly Kuestner set up courses, picked up controls, taught the beginner’s class, helped with the registration
* Al Geiger was a liaison with the park office, helped to set and pick up controls, helped with the registration
* Ruth Bromer helped with the registration and picked up controls
* Ian Shields picked up controls
* Vladimir Stemkovski picked up controls (Happy Birthday, Vladimir!)
* Ken Walsh picked up controls
* Mihai Ibanescu kept me a company
Please, if you find an error in results, do not hesitate to post a comment and I’ll try to correct it. See you next time,
= Artem

We had such a great event, with a great weather and a lot of folks turned up after a long summer break. We had some interesting variations for advanced courses. That delayed the results publication.
Thank you to the following folks:
Holly Kuestner Co-Director: designed courses, taught beginners class, set up controls, provided registration and picked up controls
Ken Walsh: picked up controls
Vladimir “One Lens Left” Stemkovski: picked up controls (extra thanks!)
Bill Ebenstein: helped at the finish
if I forget someone or if the results are not correct, please post your comment here and I’ll make sure to respond.
Thanks!
No surprises for the beginning courses and Orange. There will be a remote start for Green and Red courses, both are somewhat longer than usual, but easier too.
Another twist for advanced courses: the courses are designed with a big loop (Red, Green) or as figure 8 (Brown). Competitors are allowed to pick a direction, clock-wise or counter-clock-wise. We will have separate and combined results for both, CW and CCW.
