Advanced Event August 9

Filed under: Uncategorized by Joseph on August 6th, 2009

On August 9 we have added an Advanced Event (sprint format) to our summer schedule .

  • We will start “Umstead West”, the westernmost section of Umstead Park on Old Reedy Creek Road.
  • Course opens at 9am, and closes at noon.
  • This event is for BOK members who have completed an expert course,  Brown, Red or Green.
  • Pre-registration is required by August 7, the Friday before the event.
Un-register if you change your mind as soon as you know.  (Even as late as Sunday morning.)
  • We will be car-pooling to the end of the road with only 4 cars, so bicycle to the event if you can.
  • If it hasn’t been raining then the bike trails at Lake Crabtree Park will be open and you can access them from Old Reedy Creek Road.
  • The meeting time and place for car-pooling will be sent to registered competitors on Saturday.

Josef designed and will set the courses, and Joseph will be the Event Director.

Remember, if you register and then change your plans please cancel your registration by going back to the registration page and select “NO ” to the “Attending Event” question.  We use the Friday numbers to print maps, but sometimes people register late (duhh) and if we don’t get the late count on “no shows” then we sometimes go to the trouble (and extra expense)  to print extra maps.  So as soon as you change your mind please go back and tell us that you aren’t coming even if it is late Saturday night or early Sunday morning,   Thanks.

You must be a BOK member to participate in this event. Memberships purchased now are good for next year, and expire September 2010.  You can join on our website or at the event.
