Financial Report

Ruth reported that BOK had an income of $5500.

We have enough savings to pay for mapping projects

Mapping

• Resolution to purchase a license for Dave, and train others with OOM
• A report on the Youth Mapping Program for schools (informational)
• We will look for a mapper for Umstead

Equipment

• Ian purchased a 9”Lenovo Tab M9 (c.a. $115 with case)
  • Resolution to reimburse Ian and use that for our events
• We will look for an opportunity to purchase a new laptop
• We will continue to sell uniforms at events

Event procedures

• There were problems with Carolina North
  • Resolution: Lina to approach the ranger (Greg Kopstchek)
• We discussed having event directors find a course consultant for their local events to possibly find improvement in the course designs.
• We discussed placing the results at the top of the Invitation Post to maintain the context of the results to the event type.
  • Suggestion: add a link from the results post to the announcement post
• Educational Classes
  • Proposal: rename introductory class to “Q&A Session” since we have videos
  • Add option to sign-up sheet: will attend class
  • Course for yellow to orange
• Course modifications
  • Add an Explorer course (a Score-O using all controls)

Ecwid Subscription

• Resulution to continue Ecwid at current level  ($468/yr annual payment due Dec 23)

Radio-O

• Approval for hosting USA Radio Championships in June 2025 at Morrow Mtn State Park
• Approval for BOK to buy 30 transmitters at ~$100 each
