Advanced Event in Birkhead Wilderness on Apr 6, 2014
This event is for advanced orienteers (BOK members who have completed a brown, green, or red course). The event is in Birkhead Wilderness Area, Uwharrie National Forest, Asheboro NC. We’ll start from the Birkhead Wilderness Robbins Branch Trailhead. Directions are here.
Don’t forget, you must pre-register. There will be Brown, Green and Red courses available. The courses feature several very long legs (including Brown) and substantial amount of elevation gain on Red.
Ticks might be out there – take precaution just in case.
The courses will be opened at noon and everybody must start by 1.30 PM and finish by 3 PM.
Help with controls pick up will be greatly appreciated!
