2018 Annual Meeting Summary

We had a very productive meeting.

The following is a summary of the meeting:
We raised the Event Fees by $2 and membership fees by $5 Effective January 1, 2019:
(Event fees have not been raised since the founding of the club in 40 years.)
- Entry Fee $7
- Individual annual membership $35
- Family membership $50.
We will set up an online registration that includes payment that can be used for any event. It will be required at the discretion of the event director and at the events where the venues will not allow collecting money.
There are 34 proposed events on the schedule.
- 13 Open Orienteering events
- 11 Open Radio Orienteering (ARDF) events including 8 as part of the US & Region II ARDF Championship
- 9 Members events including a Scout event
- 1 NJROTC Regional Event
We plan to improve the Bond Park permanent course and include some advanced controls
We purchased equipment and software to have real time results at the events. (Used at the last 3 events.)
David is planning an extensive mapping campaign of new areas and we are investigating hiring professional mappers to redo the Umstead map.
We will start collecting map bags at the finish for reuse.
