On Wednesday we descended on Pullen park to practice ARDF sprint. This is a fast paced event, where the competitors have to find two sets of five controls, each transmitting for only 12 seconds. Everyone seemed to have a good time, and even the course setters Joseph and Ruth had a chance to try the course they had designed. Thanks to all who helped with control pickup.
We were happy to see that a few members of the local radio amateur community also joined our event and they had a good time. This reinforces our vision to bring together the orienteering and the HAM community.
This concludes the practice portion of the ARDF championships. Tonight we will have our opening meetings at the La Quinta hotel and Thursday morning we will start the official championships with fox-orienteering at Eno River State Park. Please be at the parking lot at 8:15 so that we can all start walking to the start place at 8:30.
