SignalSlinger is a 5-Watt Radio Orienteering transmitter for the 80m band.

Detailed instructions for assembly and use are in the SignalSlinger User Manual

This kit includes almost all the parts you need to build and start using SignalSlinger, including the internal battery and SignalStreamer antenna.

You will need to add:

• External 12v battery (one for each 'Slinger)
• Wire for the antenna and ground (for each 'Slinger)
• Configuration cable (one is sufficient for your whole set of 'Slingers)

The internal battery will keep the internal clock running for about a week, so it can start transmitting at the preset time.

Without the internal battery, a momentary disconnect from the external battery will lose the time and prevent it from turning on at the preset time.

For SignalSlinger to transmit, it must be connected to an external power source. A 12V battery is ideal. (A battery is not included.)

You will need an antenna for each SignalSlinger. The SignalStreamer kit (included) is a perfect match (no pun). The details are in the SignalStreamer User Manual

To program 'Slinger, you plug in a configuration cable connected to a computer or smartphone. The configuration Cable is not included in the kit because you only need one to program all of your SignalSlingers.

A null modem cable (not included) is used to transfer event details from one 'Slinger to another, so you don't have to program each transmitter separately. A null modem is not essential, but it is well worth it to avoid errors and to make programming a set of 'Slingers' much quicker and easier.
