The internal battery is included with the SignalSlinger kit unless you specifically choose to omit it.

The Internal Battery is necessary to maintain the date and time when 'Slinger isn't connected to an external power supply. The kit includes three items:

• Lithium Ion Polymer Battery - 3.7v 100mAh (Product ID: 1570)
• Adafruit Micro-Lipo Charger (Product ID: 1904)
• 4-position 2.54mm pin header
