Carolina North Forest (CNF) in Chapel Hill
- Date: December 10, 2023
- Start Opens: 11.30 AM
- Courses Close: 2:30 PM
- Park at the parking lot of Orange County Health Department (2501 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516) and follow BOK signs to the start, which is on a major paved trail (greenway) 300 feet south west from the parking lot.
- Event Types open to all skill levels:
- Red – 6.9km,
- Green – 5.8km,
- Brown – 3.8km,
- Orange – 3.4km,
- Yellow – 2.1km,
- White – 2.0km
- Event Directors: Vladimir and Tatyana
Waiver of Responsibility:
I, the undersigned, know that orienteering, as an outdoor action sport, carries significant risk of personal injury. I know that there are natural and man-made hazards, environmental conditions, and risks, which, in combination with my actions, can cause me serious, or possibly even fatal injury. I agree that I, as a participant, must take an active role in understanding and accepting these risks, conditions, and hazards. I also agree that I, and not the organizers and officials of this event, the US Orienteering Federation, Orienteering USA, Durham County, State of North Carolina, Triangle Land Conservancy, or any sponsors, am responsible for my safety while I participate in this event. I take full responsibility for myself and/or my child. The undersigned is granted an OUSA membership for the event date/sWe need your cell phone number to contact you if you are not checked in as finished at course closing time. We will use your email to let you know if there are changes to the event since you signed up, like a cancellation or location change. We use your car description and license number to confirm that you are still out in the woods before we send out a search party or call for search and rescue.
