This is an 8.5x11 orienteering map at 1:10,000 covering most of Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area that's meant be used for the Cane Creek Mountains Hiking Challenge, which is available from March 1st to 15th, 2026. There is a small red/orange pin punch hanging in plain sight at each of seven stages along this 4 to 5 mile loop. Taped to each punch are coordinates for the next stages in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction of travel. Plot these coordinates on your map to find your way.

There are two types of map to choose from: one with a Degree Decimal Minute (DDM) grid, or one with a Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) grid. The DDM is more difficult to use, but is the best practice for the Birkhead Hiking Challenge. The UTM is designed to be easier for those not as experienced, or interested in BHC. When you choose your map, you will be asked if you want a printed copy (extra $1) as well as the digital file. If you select yes, your printed map will be available for pickup at the March 15 BOK Cane Creek Mountains open event.
