- Date: Saturday & Sunday, February, 1-2, 2025
- Location: 1725 Gray Owl Rd, Asheboro, NC in the heart of the Birkhead Wilderness.

- We will have Livelox live showing real time tracks. All participants are encouraged to have Livelox installed on their phones. Rogaine competitors are required to have LiveLox & Uslingo on their phones with them on the courses.
- Dinner: We will serve dinner between 4pm & 5:30pm Saturday afternoon.
- Event Types:
- 6 & 12 hour Rogaine
- A combination of vertual and flagged controls
- Uslingo & Livelox apps active on your phone is required
- Saturday Loop 1 starts between 9 & 10am. Must return by 4pm
- Saturday Night mass start at 6pm. Must return by midnight
- Sunday either of the 6 hour loops 9am - 4pm
- Rogaines require an extra $4 per loop to cover additional map printing.
- A combination of vertual and flagged controls
- Radio Orienteering (Radio-O)
- FoxOring Saturday & Sunday 9am - 4pm
- Everyone is welcome to try the Radio-O courses
- You will need to rent an 80m Receiver ($5) for the Radio-O course if you do not own one.
- Be sure to bring wired headphones
- Orienteering courses (Same actual courses both Saturday & Sunday)
- Brown, Green, and Red courses - these are the most technically difficult courses. They require detailed navigation to remote minor features.
- Night O Saturday 6pm Mass Start
- Late starts still get 1hr. (Must return by midnight)
- Saturday & Sunday 9am - 4pm
- Flags will be at each control. Finger Stick required. Rent one if you don't own one.
- 6 & 12 hour Rogaine

- Location & Directions: 1725 Gray Owl Road, Asheboro, NC. (35.634843, -79.881873) There is a control on our mailbox at the intersection of Hopewell Friends and Gray Owl Road. Drive 1/4 mile on Gray Owl and take the first left turn onto our driveway. Drive 1/4 mile to the turnaround, turn around and park only on the right side (east side) of the driveway as you are heading back out. Do not drive on the grass at all! Do not park in the turnaround!
Waiver of Responsibility:
I, the undersigned, will wear a mask without a vent covering my nose and mouth except when running on the course, and I will maintain a minimum of 2m distance from others. I know that orienteering, as an outdoor action sport, carries significant risk of personal injury. I know that there are natural and man-made hazards, environmental conditions, and risks, which, in combination with my actions, can cause me serious, or possibly even fatal injury. I agree that I, as a participant, must take an active role in understanding and accepting these risks, conditions, and hazards. I also agree that I, and not the organizers and officials of this event, the US Orienteering Federation, Randolph County, State of North Carolina, United States Forest Service, the land owners or managers, or any sponsors, am responsible for my safety while I participate in this event. I take full responsibility for myself and/or my child. The undersigned is granted an OUSA membership for the event date/s
We need your cell phone number to contact you if you are not checked in as finished at course closing time. We will use your email to let you know if there are changes to the event since you signed up, like a cancelation or location change. We use your car description and license number to confirm that you are still out in the woods before we send out a search party or call for search assistance from Randolph Search and Rescue.
